About ASM
A small company in a small Texas town doesn't become the "World's Leader in Advanced Avionics Systems Integration" by accident. Since 1987, a dedicated team of industry professionals have consistently designed state-of-the art avionics systems, manufactured cutting-edge installation kits and provided a wide-range of support services and products which have made ASM's customers industry leaders as well. It all began with a simple concept: Provide Solutions. Solutions which make flight operations safer and more efficient . . . Solutions which meet and exceed all regulatory mandates . . . Solutions which insure that aircraft are always launched on-time and within budget . . .
ASM's growth and success are founded on the work of this team of industry professionals who have, time-and-time again, achieved extraordinary results by:
- Foreseeing those technological advancements which have only later become the industry standard.
- Anticipating and understanding compliance mandates.
- Appreciating our customers' avionics needs and their abilities to satisfy those needs.
- Working closely, diligently and proactively with our customers to make sure they attain their goals.
- Developing strong working relationships with regulatory agencies, such as the FAA and EASA.
- Forging vital partnerships with industry leaders such as HWI, IS&S, Teledyne Controls, UASC and others.
- Reaching the "end user", the installers, through a keen understanding of aircraft and the modification process and the ability to explain that process in a clear, concise, "hands-on" manner.
- Pioneering interactive, web-based engineering.
- Offering a wide range of support services, including certification, installation support, aircraft-specific engineering designs and deviations, build-to-print manufacturing services and repairs.
ASM is committed to empowering its staff by providing a fiscal plant and infrastructure which includes a 28,000 square feet/2,600 square meters office and manufacturing facility, a technical library, and a wire cutting and stamping center, along with the most advanced hardware, software, tools and equipment in the industry. This commitment has empowered ASM's customers, and the results are impressive:
A decade ago, ASM was at the forefront of avionics integration systems by designing and offering Omega VLF navigation systems and TCAS, for air transport and regional airliners.
ASM then defined the DFDR/DFDAU standard with designs and kits which have been installed in aircraft operating world-wide and which are being sold and installed even now. Today, as RVSM and TAWS compliance mandates near, ASM has designed and developed RVSM systems for B727 (single and dual DADC's), B737 and DC-8 aircraft, certified for installation in aircraft in the United States, the European Union and throughout the world. In August, 2004, the number of aircraft operating with ASM RVSM-compliant systems exceeded 100.
ASM TAWS systems, both UASC and the HWI EGPWS, for B727, B737, B747, B757, B767, MD-80 and DC-8 aircraft, have again set the standard others only hope to attain. By the end of 2004, over 200 aircraft, in airspace over every continent, will be operating more safely and efficiently because of ASM's TAWS design and kits.
Tomorrow: Systems and programs designed to further enhance passenger and crew safety . . . to attain maximum fuel and operational efficiency . . . to minimize ground time and to insure on-time arrivals and departures . . . to provide advanced communication between air and ground operations . . . to promote runway safety . . . to provide passengers greater comfort and flight enjoyment . . . to provide a host of exciting and innovative solutions that a new era of air travelers demand. ASM, as always, will be the "World's Leader in Advanced Avionics Systems Integration".
