System Description
The MFD is a replacement component for the existing aircraft weather radar display, which provides multiple components to be connected and selected independently for display. The MFD replaces the existing WXR Display in the center forward pedestal in the cockpit. The purpose of the MFD is to provide a single display capable of handling inputs from multiple sources such as the Weather, TCAS, Flight Management System, Unilink and Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS).

Easily installed mounting brackets provide for installation of the MFD and are included as part of the complete ASM installation kit. New wiring harnesses and sub-assemblies complete the modification.
